State of the Black College Student 

 

State of the Black College Student is a 30 minute documentary that explores college graduation rates, loan debt, and skill acquisition through the lens of African American Students. Directed by Leman Raphael this thought-provoking film probes African American college students about the value of their college experience from multiple angles in various disciplines. Combined with a 60 to 90 minute Keynote Lecture/Q&A OR Panel Discussion, this event is educational, entertaining, and exciting. This stimulating event probes Black college students around the country about the value of their college experience from multiple angles in various educational settings.  This conversation features an exchange between Doc Scriven and the audience, climaxing with solutions for improving the process and outcomes of educating African Americans.
